The final month of this year has been spent mostly with friends and family. The first half was spent wrapping up year-end activities at work, exploring the city with friends who were visiting from Pennsylvania, and decorating the apartment for our second Christmas together in our apartment. This year we even got a 6.5-foot tree (delivered from ChrstimasTree shop and pre-lit of course).
The second half has been spent celebrating. Every year I get together with my father's side of the family for Christmas Eve and my mother's side of the family for Christmas Day. I have 19 first cousins so holidays are always a blast.
The week following Christmas is one I’m especially looking forward to. I have an abundance of vacation days left to use so I’ll be taking off from work and planning a “Staycation”. I’ve planned a new activity for each day. A few of them are things that were on my bucket list so I’m pretty anxious to get started.
A Few of My Favorites This Month:
-The gigantic Bavarian pretzels from Reichenbach Hall. (Make sure you ask for the cheesy dipping sauce!)
- Bloody Mary’s from Momofuku Ssam Bar… holy hangover cure..
- The holiday shops at Union Square
- Dutch Kills speakeasy in Long Island City
