Oddly enough, my first post for "Girls' Night Out" is actually a girls' night in. I apologize if I have already let you down.

After a fun Thursday night out, sometimes a gal just needs to use her Friday night to take a breath and relax. I'd like to give a shout out to Park Avenue Summer (on Park Avenue in Manhattan, link here: parkavenyc.com) for the delicious 3 course meal I devoured last night. After hearing rave reviews, it was a place I had been wanting to make a reservation for. I somehow managed to snag a 5:30 reservation with a friend on the last night of Restaurant Week so off we went.

The food certainly did not dissapoint and neither did their cocktails. While my friend had their sangria, I wanted to go a different route - the tequila route - so I decided on their 'Loose Cannon'. What a mixture! If you like spicy, this is the way to go. As time went by the jalapeño ice cubes melted and my drink became spicier and spicier. (I will definitely be making my way back for more.)

After dinner we made our way back to Hoboken, stopped into a few bars, and on our walk home we each scored a bottle of Instagram star @TheFatJew's new "White Girl Rosé" (something else I'd been wanting to try) as we passed by a random liquor store.

Tonight the apartment is filled with the occasional chit-chat and the sounds of productivity. At my side are all the basic (literally) essentials: the glass of rosé, my newest spotify playlist on shuffle, a gmail account of mail waiting to be sorted, and my weekly planner. It's a comforting feeling when you can sit in your room doing your own thing while both of your roommates are in theirs as well, doing the same exact thing. It's nights like these that I have learned to have an appreciation for.

Earlier in the evening we had all agreed to renew our lease for another year in October. By then it will be my one year and five month anniversary of living here in Hoboken, a city I never imagined I'd end up, and a city which each day surprisingly feels more and more like home.
